About the Generative AI Service Team at Oracle

In this vibrant team, you will be instrumental in building and operating large-scale cloud services that integrate cutting-edge machine learning technologies. Our focus is on developing high-performance AI model training and serving systems that are both scalable and distributed. As a part of our team, your contributions will be crucial in developing new Generative AI-powered services tailored for large-scale enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers to transform business and product visions into tangible AI projects.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of models and service integrations by coordinating with fellow technical leaders.
  • Drive projects from research stages to production in collaboration with global teams.
  • Innovate new OCI services and features by leveraging the latest advances in AI.
  • Lead the design and architecture of AI systems including all aspects from data management to model evaluation.
  • Mentor and guide a diverse team of machine learning engineers.
  • Champion best practices in coding and engineering across the team.
  • Proactively identify and address potential risks in project plans and execution strategies.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Prospective candidates should demonstrate a robust background in designing scalable AI models, with a deep understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and architectures like Transformers. Experience with the latest Generative AI and LLM technologies is crucial. A proven track record in leading junior engineers and managing comprehensive data solutions is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with the most recent advancements in computer vision.

Educational Requirements:

While a PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, candidates with a Master’s or Bachelor's degree and substantial professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
