In the heart of OCI is the Generative AI Service team, dedicated to merging cutting-edge artificial intelligence with robust cloud infrastructure to empower enterprise solutions. As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing AI models and deploying large-scale cloud services that leverage the latest in machine learning technologies.

Role Summary:

This position calls for a seasoned engineer ready to lead initiatives in building high-performance AI systems tailored for large-scale enterprise environments. Focused on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multi-modality Models, your contributions will be instrumental in steering Oracle’s advancements in Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers and technical leaders to transform business requirements into AI-driven projects and integrations.
• Initiate and manage the transition of projects from conjectural stages to production-ready solutions.
• Envision and architect new OCI features by leveraging novel advancements in generative AI and machine learning.
• Mentor a diverse team of engineers and advocate for the highest standards in coding and system design.
• Assess project risks, proposing reliable mitigation strategies that intersect business objectives and technological executions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven expertise in designing scalable AI architectures and implementing these solutions into production environments.
• Strong foundation in Machine Learning and Deep Learning technologies, especially in the context of Transformers and LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with modern Generative AI techniques and tools such as parameter-efficient tuning techniques and frameworks geared towards LLM.
• Record of significant contributions to Machine Learning communities, including publications and presentations at top-tier conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with a deep understanding of Large Language Models, multimodal modeling, and prior experience in delivering Generative AI and agent models will find this role especially rewarding.

Educational Background:

A PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields with specialization in Machine learning is preferred. Applicants with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and substantial professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
