How You Can Help Make a Better World of Work
Culture Amp is on a mission to embed analytics and insights across our product suite. We have recently acquired the people analytics platform Orgnostic and are expanding our data platform to further leverage our data's value. We seek a Principal Data Engineer to join our Data Intelligence Camp. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our data architecture, facilitating analytics, insights, and AI/ML across our platform. Your responsibilities will also include enhancing our data management, quality, and governance capabilities by working with data owners and implementing reliable, consistent, and trustworthy processes and automation.
Your Role
- Collaborate across teams and camps to align on our data strategy, empowering data owners and consumers to deliver customer value.
- Support Team Leads and engineers in your camp, ensuring they are productive, enjoy their work, and have clear remits. Help resolve issues to improve culture and engagement.
- Ensure consistent communication within and across all camps, facilitating knowledge sharing, visibility, and alignment of large initiatives between camps and the VP of Engineering.
- Mentor Team Leads, Staff Engineers, and other engineers in your camp to support their development and drive consistent, sustainable technical excellence.
Your Experience
- Significant experience as a data engineer with a history of delivering high-quality data products yielding real business outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, dbt, AWS Redshift, AWS CDK, Apache Kafka, real-time analytics platforms such as Clickhouse or Druid, and stream processing tools like Apache Flink.
- Experience implementing programs around data governance, privacy, and compliance.
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills; adept at making clear and timely decisions amidst nuanced trade-offs and varied opinions.
