Job Description: Principal Developer - Data Integration Engineer - ETL/DevOps

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy scalable data integration pipelines using cloud-based tools aligned with our design principles.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and optimize performance for existing pipelines using BASH, Python, and Java.
  • Design and implement new data pipelines on AWS EMR using Java/Spark/Scala and manage workflows with AirFlow.
  • Enhance data table layouts for faster loading and optimal query performance.
  • Debug and optimize SQL statements and stored procedures in Postgres and Redshift.
  • Utilize git-based source control via Bitbucket, and leverage CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Ansible for robust deployment strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Master's preferred.
  • AWS Developer certification highly desirable.
  • Robust experience (8+ years) in Data Integration/Engineering with comprehensive knowledge of cloud/on-premises ETL tools.
  • Expertise in BASH, Python, Java, and experience with Spark/Scala programs on AWS EMR.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of relational database systems, MPP architecture, Unix/Linux OS, and SQL programming.
