Job Description

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of documented experience in software development and system maintenance.
  • Considerable experience and understanding in the following technologies: Python 2/3, Linux, AWS, OLTP and OLAP databases, any Data Warehouse.
  • Capability to learn and adapt to constantly evolving technology.
  • Evidenced experience with N-tiered applications and multi-tier architecture.
  • Highly skilled at developing sophisticated yet straightforward systems using best practices and design patterns.
  • Considerable experience with multi-threading, memory management, networking, I/O concepts, and performance elements of general classes and algorithms.
  • RDBMS based on MPP/Cluster, Jupyter, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, Git, CI/CD.
  • Experience with any of the following technologies a plus: Snowflake (DBaaS), Greenplum.
  • Extensive experience in leading teams, engaging with business partners or customers, and guiding project direction.
  • Excellent grasp of object-oriented design concepts and software development processes and methods.
  • Superior organizational skills, adept at identifying priorities and keeping a team focused on the most crucial features.
  • Must possess a passion for development and latest technologies
  • Leadership capabilities and ability to guide design and technical meetings
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • .NET and Angular experience desirable
  • Experience with Tableau/Tableau server desired

Qualifications

  • Accountable for leading application development supporting business objectives while demonstrating independence in software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing.
  • Lead new and existing applications along with enhancements to applications and infrastructure.
  • Perform hands-on coding while designing and architecting data processing and analytics solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison to internal customers, research groups, and various business support areas.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior programmers and other software engineers.
  • Capability to troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications.
  • Fulfills all responsibilities outlined on the annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
