Position Overview:

Located in the vibrant academic and tech hub of Cambridge, MA, RTX BBN Technologies invites applications for a groundbreaking role as a Principal Experienced Cyber/EW Research Scientist. This onsite position offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop a new Cyber/EW-related research thrust, directly contributing to the advancement of U.S. National Security objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Building and advancing a significant Cyber/EW-related research area.
  • Articulating and implementing strategic vision and tactical direction at BBN and influencing it across RTX.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in business development, proposal preparation, and project execution.
  • Hiring and nurturing top-tier talent to create a stellar research team.
  • Conducting cutting-edge research and establishing both personal and BBN credentials in the cybersecurity community.

Required Qualifications:

  • A University Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years experience.
  • Active Top Secret U.S. government security clearance is mandatory before commencing duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership in technical R&D teams.
  • Experience with classified government-funded research and proposal writing.
  • Expertise in areas like RF signal processing, OS internals, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong publication record and presence in relevant technical conferences.
