Job Overview

As a Principal Statistical Programmer at IQVIA, you will leverage your advanced technical expertise to develop process methodologies that address the complex needs of both internal and external clients. This role involves planning and coordinating integrated programming solutions to cover the full spectrum of statistical programming needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement programming, testing, and documentation of statistical programs for generating statistical tables, figures, and listings for complex studies.
• Develop analysis datasets (derived datasets) and transfer files for both internal and external clients.
• Perform programming quality control checks on source data and report data issues periodically.
• Interpret project requirements and develop programming specifications for complex studies.
• Provide advanced technical expertise to clients and SP teams to address project challenges and propose solutions.
• Lead project responsibilities, acting as the technical team lead for single complex studies or groups of studies.
• Communicate directly with internal and client statisticians and clinical team members to ensure alignment of requirements and timelines.
• Estimate the scope of programming work, manage resource assignments, communicate project statuses, and negotiate/re-negotiate timelines for deliverables.
• Advocate for the use of established standards, SOPs, and best practices.
• Provide training and mentorship to other SP team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of Statistical Programming experience within the Life Sciences Industry.
• Strong efficacy experience.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics, programming, and clinical drug development processes.
• Proficiency in computing applications such as Base SAS, SAS Graph, and SAS Macro.
• Advanced knowledge of relevant Data Standards, including CDISC, ADaM, and SDTM.
