In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and operations of data products and solutions that support our Medical Affairs teams. Your expertise will guide our data engineering team, ensuring alignment with business strategies and translating our goals into innovative technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer, you will:

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and operations of data products and solutions for the Medical Affairs team.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of data products, including their data lineage, business rules, KPIs, usage, and operations.
• Collaborate with Global Capability, Business Engagement, Delivery, and Platform teams to enhance customer experience and outcomes in data product delivery.
• Ensure data products adhere to best practices and align with AZ architecture standards and strategy.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in Information Services/Information Technology with strong business acumen
• 3-5 years of experience building AWS or Azure cloud-based data pipelines
• 3-5 years of experience with Python and Spark
• Minimum 7 years of experience with ETL and complex data models/pipelines/products
• Expertise in Continuous Integration and Deployment methods as part of an agile team
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information in business-friendly language
• Broad understanding of cloud architecture
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Proven experience managing and mentoring junior engineers
• Proven experience developing and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers
• Experience working in a global organization with a complex geographical structure

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience working with Databricks/Snowflake platforms
• Experience in pharmaceutical Medical Affairs
• Experience in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry IT environments
• Experience with IQVIA Claims, National, and subnational sales data
• Experience within a DevOps delivery model
• Experience in a quality and compliance environment, with adherence to policies and guidelines
