About the Role

The Retail Analytics tribe is part of our Australian Data Portfolio division. Our mission is to integrate business and technology capabilities to enhance analytics, reporting, and data asset development for ANZ's Australia Retail & Commercial division.

As a Product Owner Chapter Lead, you will lead a data applications and engineering squad, ensuring effective project delivery that supports business decision-making. You'll translate business requirements into a data backlog, use strong project management skills, and serve as a people leader for your data squad.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into a backlog of data applications and engineering work.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet people, process, and technology requirements.
• Maintain delivery oversight to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and budget.
• Prioritize the data capability level squad backlog aligned with business priorities.
• Leverage deep technical data skills and understanding across various disciplines.
• Create a positive team environment and drive a strong delivery culture.
• Manage the performance and growth of squad members.
• Partner with leadership teams and data teams to convey sustainable data solutions.
• Engage with business Product Owners to establish collaborative ways of working.
• Identify opportunities to scale solutions and collaborate with Data Portfolio stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

• 12+ years of experience in delivery management for large, complex data programs or financial services.
• Proven ability to lead complex change and transformation programs.
• Resilience in managing through change and ambiguity.
• High levels of technical expertise in data engineering and data products.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to drive outcomes.
• Strong project management skills, including delivery and risk management.
• Expertise in data engineering practices and architectural guidance.
• Experience building data engineering solutions on Hadoop stack (PySpark), public cloud (GCP/AWS), Openshift.
• Understanding of DevOps and CICD principles.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data mesh principles.
• Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python.
