At System1, we are on the lookout for a skilled Project Manager to lead initiatives within our Data Platform team. This critical team forms a foundational layer supporting various crucial functions such as business intelligence, optimization, machine learning, and both external & internal reporting. The Role You Will Have:

Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with engineering and product management teams to support engineering and product objectives.
• Leverage your deep understanding of data systems and analytics to develop and execute detailed project plans, ensuring technical projects are delivered on time.
• Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence to manage multiple, simultaneous technical data projects effectively.
• Lead scrum ceremonies and manage intra-team and cross-team meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting minutes, and conducting follow-ups.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, timelines, and any potential obstacles.
• Assess the engineering team’s capacity both qualitatively and quantitatively, and manage project velocity to maintain peak team competency.
• Drive continuous improvements to our project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Will Bring:

As an ideal candidate, you will offer:

• Proven experience as a project manager focused on technical projects within data systems, BI, and/or analytics.
• Strong understanding of data terminology and processes, including AWS, databases, APIs, orchestration, and CI/CD.
• The ability to read SQL and technical documentation fluently.
• Experience tailoring project management approaches to different team structures and workflows.
• A track record of managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• Relevant project management certifications (PMP, CSM, etc.) are highly desirable.

Our U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $144,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with specific salary ranges discussed during the hiring process based on your location and experience.

System1 is headquartered in Marina del Rey, CA, with additional offices in Bellevue, WA, and Guelph, ON, Canada.
