Job Description

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in the Analytical Data Operations (ADO) division, you'll be crucial in ensuring that Verisk's analytical engines are optimally powered. Our ADO team consists of skilled data analysts, BI developers, data engineers, architects, and actuarial professionals who are focused on enhancing our data analytics platforms. These platforms support a variety of products relied upon by the US Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance sector.

You will serve as a subject matter expert, maintaining in-depth knowledge of data and information management for our business lines. Collaborating with fellow team leads and stakeholders, you'll interpret industry trends and develop vast expertise across our product range. Your role also includes expanding and refining tools with our international teams to enhance capacity for generating industry insights at scale, influencing significant changes in the US P&C insurance market.

In this role, you will manage expectations and outputs within a Shared Services model, deploying your knowledge in multiple business lines, AGILE project management, and advanced analytics. You'll be at the forefront of data analytics, utilizing SQL in our cloud data warehouse to drive strategic decisions in the industry.

Main Responsibilities:

• Engage directly with business stakeholders to assess needs, then collect, analyze, and interpret data to deliver actionable insights.
• Monitor and analyze commercial lines property coverage data, identifying trends, anomalies, and quality issues.
• Develop comprehensive reports and visualizations using advanced BI tools.
• Lead quarterly data review presentations with stakeholders, synthesizing findings and documenting crucial discussions.
• Maintain robust data stewardship with insurance carriers to ensure their compliance and the relevance of our benchmark analytics.
• Pioneer changes in result delivery methods internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM fields or related disciplines with relevant coursework.
• At least two years of data analysis experience in the P&C insurance sector, preferably in Commercial Lines.
• Proficiency in SQL and BI tools, particularly focusing on data analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
