JPMorgan Chase has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Software Engineer III to join our Home Lending Data Technology Team within Consumer & Community Banking. As a seasoned member of an agile team, you will design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will also be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support the firm’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting by thinking beyond routine approaches to build innovative solutions or break down complex problems.
• Creating secure, high-quality production code and maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring software code meets design constraints.
• Gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and developing visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
• Proactively identifying hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributing to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
• Enhancing team culture to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in coding with Python.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within technical disciplines like cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Experience with Big Data, Snowflake, Spark, and ETL.
