Data Infrastructure: Build and expand the data infrastructure necessary for both batch and real-time processing of extensive data sets.
Automation: Enhance cloud infrastructure, services, and observability through automation, developing CI/CD pipelines, and testing automation.
Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and product managers to assess their needs and advocate for best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of industry experience in big data systems, data processing, and SQL databases.
- Proficiency in Spark dataframes, Spark SQL, PySpark with over 1 year of coding experience.
- At least 2 years of programming skills in Python & SQL, capable of writing clean, modular code.
- Strong understanding of SQL, dimensional modeling, and big data analytical warehouses such as Hive and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with ETL workflow management tools like Airflow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Git and Jenkins CI for version control and CI/CD.
- Proficient in analyzing data using notebook solutions like Jupyter, EMR Notebooks, Apache Zeppelin.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with superb written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
