Our Data Engineering and Analytics team (DEA) is currently seeking a passionate Intermediate Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure our data remains impeccable.

Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in performing Data Quality Analysis to guarantee the quality of continuous Data Delivery managed by our DEA Tribe. Your responsibilities will include working across all phases of the BI Life Cycle process to identify and rectify defects as early as possible. You will craft and execute test cases that verify both functional and non-functional system requirements, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and BI Developers to uphold optimal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test cases based on user requirements for application testing, focusing on functional and end-to-end tests to ensure system outputs align with business requirements.
• Identify, document, and resolve defects, refining testing methodologies and environment issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all testing activities and provide status updates that highlight project milestones and conformity to standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, SQL/BigQuery/Looker, Data Pipeline testing, and Data Analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in creating test cases from functional requirements.
• Proactive and able to adjust to priority changes with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA and Zephyr, and technologies including Confluence and Office Suite.
• Cloud Certification is highly desirable.
