Exciting Opportunity: Quality Data Scientist

We are looking for a Quality Data Scientist to join our groundbreaking team at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky. This is a unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of an innovative startup and help launch a state-of-the-art EV battery production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced anomaly detection machine learning models for manufacturing components test data.
  • Analyze multimodal datasets to uncover trends and insights that enhance quality control strategies.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and accuracy of existing machine learning models.
  • Develop scalable model architectures for swift and reliable model retraining.
  • Collaborate with the production team and stakeholders to ensure defective parts do not reach customers.
  • Document and communicate findings and insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning algorithms and industry best practices.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Python programming language.
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing high-dimensional datasets.
  • Proficiency in supervised machine learning algorithms and frameworks like Scikit-learn, Pytorch, TensorFlow, or XGBoost.
  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis and visualization packages such as Pandas, SciPy, and Seaborn.
  • 1+ years of experience in SQL programming language and relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of unsupervised machine learning algorithms like isolation forests, one-class SVM, and autoencoders.
  • Familiarity with feature engineering concepts, Fourier transform, and statistical feature extraction and selection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform for data processing and machine learning tasks.
  • Familiarity with time-frequency analysis and deep learning-based feature extraction.
  • Knowledge of sequential data modeling, feature extraction, and deep neural network architectures such as LSTM, GANs, and Conditional Random Fields.
