Part-Time Opportunity in Advanced Radar Research

KBR is on the lookout for a passionate Radar Research Engineer to enhance our dynamic team based in Chantilly, Virginia. This part-time role is perfect for those who thrive in pushing the boundaries of technology, specifically within the realms of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Moving Target Indication (MTI).

At KBR, you'll have the chance to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and development (R&D) and real-world, enterprise operations. This position not only allows you to develop groundbreaking SAR and MTI technologies but also supports Algorithm and Analytical Development using advanced programming skills in C, C++, Python, FORTRAN, and MATLAB.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Development of methods to generate synthetic SAR and MTI data.
  • Providing technical analysis and support in the conception, planning, and execution of advanced research techniques.
  • Independently resolve crucial engineering problems through innovative R&D methods.
  • Contribute as both an individual and a team member in supporting complex algorithm developments and analytical solutions.
  • Engage in ad hoc R&D studies and analyses.

Qualifications Required:

  • Current enrollment or completion of a degree in Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. A graduate degree in progress is preferable.
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB, C, and Python.
  • Proven experience in radar or signal processing disciplines using advanced research techniques and practices.
  • Eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
