Job Summary

Ansys, Inc. seeks R&D Engineer II (multiple openings) to work in Canonsburg, PA. Telecommuting may be permitted within commuting distance to an Ansys office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software products and supporting systems.
• Work collaboratively with a team of expert professionals to meet customer requirements and achieve development goals.
• Perform design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation of software modules and subsystems.
• Adhere to and implement best practices.
• Conduct bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
• Research and develop solutions for problems identified by quality assurance or product support teams.
• Understand the marketing requirements for products, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive landscape.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in an Engineering field, Computer Science, or a related area of study.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in an Engineering field, Computer Science, or a related area of study, plus two years of relevant experience.
• Experience with software design and development methodologies, including machine learning and deep learning.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ with a focus on deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, or Scikit Learn.
• Knowledge of numerical analysis, object-oriented design, scripting languages, data structures, and algorithms.
