Job Description
Join our Asset and Wealth Management Organization within the Reference Data Management Operations as a Reference Data Management Specialist. This role focuses on Instrument, Pricing & Common Reference Data. You’ll be part of a global centre of excellence that supports pricing and data management services for Asset Management, Wealth Management, and Chase Wealth Management Lines of Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling securities/issuer creation, maintenance, and pricing across marketable asset classes such as equities, fixed income, listed options, mutual funds, derivatives, and hedge funds.
  • Managing securities/issuer creation, maintenance, and pricing for tradable assets like alternatives and private equities with reference data from Bloomberg, S&P, IDC, Reuters, CITCO, and more.
  • Conducting stale price and variance control checks.
  • Executing BAU tasks related to instrument creation, pricing, and control reports within SLAs.
  • Analyzing issues & errors, assessing solutions, and proposing these to management.
  • Testing new enhancements and strategic integrations as part of adoption processes.
  • Liaising with internal and external instrument pricing vendors to resolve issues and minimize risks.
  • Monitoring system operations related to job success and resolving technical issues in collaboration with tech teams.
  • Proactively escalating issues to supervisors and contributing to the enhancement of the pricing control process.
  • Leading ad-hoc project work as directed by management.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • 4-7 years of experience in Reference Data related roles.
  • Demonstrated understanding and interest in stocks, bonds, options, and other financial products and markets.
  • Extensive knowledge of Instruments and Pricing Reference Data, corporate actions, index benchmarking, and all asset classes.
  • Proficiency with major instruments & pricing vendors like Bloomberg, Reuters, ICE, etc.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working accurately under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effective interaction across departments and team environments.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, taking ownership of issues until full resolution.
