As a Reference Data Product Owner within the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture (FFBA) team at J.P. Morgan, you will lead pivotal data, infrastructure, accounting standards, and business process change management initiatives. You will serve as the Chief Data Officer for Finance and Treasury Chief Investment Office (TCIO). Together, we provide centralized program management, business analysis capabilities, targeted program governance, and ensure consistent application of program management standards such as system testing and change management practices. Our current focus includes managing the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, Risk, and Liquidity platforms.

We are looking for a high-performing Associate to join our Reference Data Product Owner Team and drive the delivery of strategic data sourcing to facilitate Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Reporting. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of ESG obligations in line with regulatory requirements (EU Taxonomy and Net Zero Emissions) along with internal firmwide initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end project strategy discussions; develop and implement plans for successful ESG-aligned activities
  • Identify and drive business process re-engineering initiatives; create supporting documentation and improve end-user operational experience
  • Provide oversight of the release plan, including project or release scope, critical milestones, sourcing requirements, test strategy and execution, and stakeholder / technology activities
  • Gather and document detailed business and data requirements
  • Coordinate JIRA grooming, test execution, and issue resolution
  • Influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across business, operations, and technology domains
  • Facilitate resolution of data quality issues and lead stakeholder working groups to resolve issues through their lifecycle

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of program and/or project management experience
  • Expertise in delivering medium to large complexity programs and managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across various stakeholders and senior management levels
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, capable of managing multiple roles both tactically and strategically

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Understanding of Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes; knowledge of Reference Data or ESG Initiatives is an advantage
  • Previous experience in Finance, Risk, or Reference Data is beneficial
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods, JIRA, and SQL is a plus
