Position Overview

Job Title: Registered Nurse BSN - Breast Imaging Casual Days
Location: Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL
Type: Casual position to provide coverage for PTO and sick days.

This role reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM and upholds our commitment to ethical practices and compliance standards. As a Registered Nurse in our Breast Imaging department, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, compassionate environment for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Care Coordination: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize nursing diagnosis, facilitate care planning, and ensure effective discharge processes.

Patient Education and Ethics: Advance patient knowledge on medication and health practices while respecting cultural and spiritual needs.

Creating a Safe Environment: Focus on initiatives to prevent common healthcare-associated conditions such as infections and injuries.

Professional Relationships: Utilize strong interpersonal skills to lead support techs and collaborate across departments.

Resource Utilization and Technology: Ensure accurate documentation and advocate for cost-effective care and technology enhancement.

Professional Development

Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities within the organization to maintain a high standard of nursing practice. This includes attending internal offerings like Nursing Grand Rounds and acquiring specialty certifications.

Qualifications

Required: Active Registered Nursing license in Illinois, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Desired: National Certification in your area of specialty.
