WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh’s Communication Campaign Research and Evaluation (CCR&E) team is in search of an analyst to join our Data Strategy / Audience Analytics (DS/AA) Division. The role involves contributing to numerous communication campaigns and data analysis projects, including audience targeting and campaign optimization. The position supports campaign segmentation efforts by employing analytic techniques to identify, understand, and track target audiences. The researcher will work closely with the project team to ensure that segmentation efforts satisfy campaign objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Using research and data to assist a team of communication strategists, data scientists, and statisticians with communications planning
- Analyzing data from diverse sources to uncover patterns, insights and actionable recommendations
- Interpreting complex data to identify patterns and actionable insights
- Preparing reports, presentation decks, and other internal and external communications summarizing analytics data and implications for campaign strategy
- Customizing materials for different audience levels both technical and non-technical
- Communicating regularly with campaign teams to present findings and discuss potential implications
- Working closely with the project team to meet tight deadlines and fulfill client requests
- Communicating effectively and professionally with stakeholders of varied research knowledge and experience
- Assessing potential obstacles to project completion and suggesting solutions to team leadership
- Performing Quality Assurance (QA) checks on datasets and data analyses
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, data science, public health, statistics, marketing, economics or a related field
- Experience and interest in at least one of the statistical analysis packages: R, Stata, or Python
- Experience dealing with large, complex, and nuanced datasets and generating insights and recommendations from them
- Experience communicating data analysis, insights, and recommendations to internal and external parties
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Curiosity and a desire to learn
- Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security check and must meet eligibility requirements for access to confidential information
- US work eligibility is mandatory for this position due to our federal contract requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with audience segmentation and proficiency in commercial segmentation subscription data
- Experience in SQL
- GIS experience
- Familiarity with marketing metrics, marketing principles, and terminology
- Experience in applied research as part of a government contract
- Experience working with government agencies such as the FDA, CDC, CPSC, or HHS
- Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously, often with changing priorities and tight timelines

Salary: $57,000-$71,000
