Job Description

Wood Mackenzie is a leading research and advisory firm that delivers analysis and insight into the world's natural resources, with offices across the globe.

The Carbon Research team at Wood Mackenzie aims to help clients across the energy value chain understand and respond to market and portfolio-related climate risks and opportunities by providing detailed, decision-useful carbon data and analytics. These services include calculating and benchmarking emissions across the complete value chain of commodities, tracking and forecasting carbon prices, as well as conducting research and reporting on carbon markets.

The Role Purpose

This role is a part of Wood Mackenzie's Carbon Research team, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a robust, global team and make a significant contribution to decarbonization and the energy transition at a global scale.

Main Responsibilities

The Analyst's responsibilities include supporting in the modeling of WoodMac's GHG emissions estimations and working closely with the Emissions Benchmarking Tool product owner.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in sectors like oil and gas (including petrochemicals), metals and mining, power and renewables. Furthermore, they should have knowledge and hands-on experience with energy or emissions modelling and possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. They must also be self-driven, have excellent communication skills, and have a deep intellectual curiosity about the energy transition.
