Key Responsibilities

As a Research Assistant, you will:

• Investigate the importance of effective area-based conservation measures around Southeast Asia, such as coastal community-managed landscapes.
• Enhance the understanding of alternative non-market-based conservation measures through data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings.
• Manage spatial data acquisition and processing, perform statistical analyses, and contribute to report writing and manuscript preparation.
• Provide administrative support on research-related matters.
• Support the development of policy-relevant and multidisciplinary conservation research.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science, Climate Science, Geography, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in collecting, processing, and analyzing remote sensing data (e.g., optical, LiDAR, SAR) for natural ecosystem studies is preferred.
• Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and geospatial data handling, including conducting geospatial analysis and modeling.
• Competent in statistical analyses and data visualization tools.
• Skills in coding/scripting using R and/or Python programming languages.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly self-motivated, independent, and a team player.
