The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is currently inviting applications for the position of Research Engineer I. This exciting opportunity is perfect for those passionate about advancing solar technology and contributing to cutting-edge research.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to execute solar cell, module, and system experiments aimed at journal publication.
• Lead the regeneration research and industrialization activities for solar cells, modules, and systems, including measurements and characterization for research projects.
• Manage regeneration lab equipment activities such as specification and design, maintenance, and licensing.
• Execute solar material, cell, module, and system experimentation, including characterization and analysis for research projects.
• Document experiment results and lab reports, and prepare high-quality presentation materials.
• Assist in public journal and conference publications when required by documenting experiment results and preparing quality presentation materials.
• Make independent contributions to meet project deliverables.
• Support team members and industry collaborators to deliver projects within deadlines.
• Provide training for internship students and research/industry collaborators involved in the project.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields preferred.
• 2-3 years of working experience preferred; entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Experience in solar device design and lab work is advantageous.
• Experience in planning and executing solar device or material-related experiments is preferred.
• Material characterization experience is an advantage.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Capability to carry out and summarize literature research and study.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external researchers and engineers.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
