Position Overview

We are excited to announce a job opening for a Research Engineer, either level I or II, at A Corp Lab within Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The selected candidate will engage in cutting-edge projects centered on developing Large Language Models (LLMs) for applications in health. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology and research in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and conversational AI.

Key Responsibilities

The Research Engineer will:

• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and fellow team members to craft and execute LLMs-based conversational agents.
• Support the analysis of data related to LLMs, and partake in experimental research to tackle project-based questions.
• Contribute to the development of algorithms and models that improve the functionality of multi-turn dialogues, proactive questioning, and knowledge-informed common-sense reasoning within conversational systems.

Job Requirements

• An advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Demonstrable expertise in Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, or conversational AI.
• Proficiency in programming languages and machine learning frameworks, especially Python and PyTorch.
• Ability to test, debug, and enhance both new and existing software architectures.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior publications in the fields of NLP or conversational AI are advantageous.
