At the Digital Trust Centre (DTC) of Nanyang Technological University, we are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Research Engineer I to embark on groundbreaking projects in trust technologies. Key Responsibilities:

As a Research Engineer I, you will:

• Lead research projects focused on trust technology, transforming complex algorithms and frameworks into functional prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with our team of experts to design and transition research products from conceptualization to deployment.
• Develop tools that facilitate the technology transfer of new capabilities to our research partners and demonstrate the practical value of our research outcomes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of your research including technical documents, presentations, and academic papers.
• Engage with global partners to stay ahead of industry trends and position Singapore as a leader in the field of trust technologies.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java and C/C++ programming. Experience in Python, Go, or Spring is a plus.
• Expertise in Linux environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) including shell scripting.
• Advanced skills in developing network protocols, socket programming in cloud environments, and working with SQL databases.
• Experience with virtualization technologies to enhance system performance in cloud services.
• Capability to develop machine learning systems from scratch, including feature engineering and model training.
• Excellent communication skills to switch between technical details and business applications effortlessly.
• Ability to work independently and deliver solutions within tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of middleware, API development, system frameworks, and familiarity with API security concepts.
