Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a dynamic and innovative Research Fellow (Air Traffic) to enhance the performance, reliability, and safety of air traffic systems amid growing demands and uncertainties. This role is perfect for those passionate about artificial intelligence and machine learning in the air traffic management (ATM) field.
Lead research initiatives in developing advanced AI methods and machine learning models tailored for air traffic management.
Analyze air traffic data pertinent to ongoing projects and develop cutting-edge optimization algorithms and models.
Design and run simulations for effective data visualization and analysis.
Create innovative prototypes and intelligent tools for efficient air traffic flow management.
Support the project lead in managing research projects and guide a team of researchers, including PhD and undergraduate students.
Enhance collaborative efforts with industry and academic partners through effective communication.
PhD in Computational Sciences, Aerospace Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
Proven track record of publications in high-impact journals and conferences within the fields of AI and ATM.
Strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills in machine learning, computational intelligence, and optimization.
Expertise in programming with Python and C++.
Outstanding English writing and communication skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
