Research Fellow Opportunity at The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS)
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking dynamic and innovative individuals for the position of Research Fellow in the fields of Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Perception Sciences. This role is a gateway to pioneering research in quality assessment for 3D digital asset coding and CG rendering.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough quality assessments for 3D digital asset coding and CG rendering.
- Compile comprehensive reports, IDs, demos, and papers to summarize and justify innovative research findings.
- Lead groundbreaking research to explore quality assessment methodologies for 3D digital asset coding and CG rendering.
- Perform systematic investigations to address emerging AI requirements.
- Develop new quality assessment schemes, using datasets and real-world settings under diverse conditions.
- Propose and develop methodologies/frameworks as project IPs.
- Present research outcomes in reports, papers, and at international peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
- Mentor FYP, Master, and PhD student projects.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Perception Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong technical reading, writing, and programming skills.
- Proven track record in related R&D with a high desire for technological exploration and achievement.
- Background in signal representation/processing, 3D visual data, and data-driven machine learning/analysis.
- Experience in state-of-the-art AI techniques and prior research/standardization is preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, Matlab will be valued.
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and a team player willing to collaborate with other researchers and scientists to produce high-quality research.
