Your Impact

We are seeking a dynamic leader to provide scientific leadership, strategic guidance, and develop a high-performing in-vitro pharmacology sub-team. Your team will be essential in defining screening cascades for our drug design projects, advancing our oncology, immunology, and partnership portfolios from early Drug Discovery through to Candidate Selection and Clinical Phases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of scientists.
  • Design efficient and comprehensive biological screening cascades for internal drug design programs.
  • Integrate and lead projects to provide strategic input for project success.
  • Collaborate with CROs to design experiments and deliver high-quality biological data.
  • Provide expertise to AI/ML teams for developing top-tier biological models.
  • Distill biological data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to relevant regulatory documentation for preclinical work.
  • Work cross-functionally with key partners ensuring robust in-vitro pharmacology data.
  • Communicate proactively with leadership and ensure resource allocation for in-vitro pharmacology activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in a relevant field of biology.
  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry leading an in-vitro pharmacology function.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing biological screening cascades for various drug design project phases.
  • Solid understanding of innovative in-vitro, biophysical, biochemical, and cellular assay techniques.
  • Significant knowledge of the best in-vitro pharmacology CROs with a track record of delivering high-quality data.
  • Ability to foster a healthy team environment and identify development opportunities.
  • Dynamic, agile, and flexible leadership qualities.
  • Effective communication across a broad interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills

  • Project leadership experience.
  • Track record of contributing to projects that delivered Clinical Candidates.
  • Experience with assays and screening for alternative modalities or chemistries.
  • Knowledge of machine learning applied to biological systems.
  • Experience with diverse biological mechanisms and disease indications.

Hybrid Working Model
