Meta's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team is on the lookout for a dedicated Research Scientist to spearhead groundbreaking projects in AI. This prestigious role is tailored for experts in fields including, but not limited to, computer vision, speech recognition, multimodality, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Key Responsibilities

• Advance the science behind multimodal language modeling and set new technological standards.
• Innovate and enhance data-driven paradigms for multimodal generation.
• Empower reasoning capabilities within multimodal understanding and generation frameworks.
• Develop cutting-edge platforms for AI and multimodal research initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD (or in the process of obtaining) in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Speech, Multimodality, NLP, or a similar field.
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and programming languages including C, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as Hugging Face.
• Proven experience in training language models and Transformers.
• A solid record of significant research outcomes, demonstrated through publications, patents, or similar achievements.
• Eligibility for work authorization in the hiring country at the time of hire and throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated software engineering and research skills.
• Practical experience in machine learning, deep learning, or data science project development.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and evaluate potential solutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration.

Compensation

Meta offers a competitive salary range of $117,000 to $173,000/year plus bonuses, equity, and additional benefits. Specific pay will be based on skills, qualifications, and location.
