Assured Information Security (AIS) is excited to announce an opening for a Research Scientist II. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with a team of top-tier researchers working on cutting-edge projects in Reinforcement Learning, Anomaly Detection, Natural Language Processing, and other advanced Machine Learning domains. You'll not only engage in high-impact research but also have the freedom to propose and contribute new ideas to advance R&D in the industry.

Note: This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance.

How You’ll Succeed

To excel in this role, collaboration within your team will be key. You'll tackle complex machine learning challenges using innovative and theoretical techniques to develop models and supporting software. Besides research and development, you'll play a vital role in technical status reporting, deliverables, and publishing research findings.

Who You Are

You are naturally curious and thrive on solving tough problems with creative, novel solutions. You keep up with the latest advancements in the field through diligent literature reviews. Self-directed, independent, and a team player, you possess a strong grasp of mathematics or various machine learning concepts.

Your Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field plus 2 years of engineering or scientific experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Active Top-Secret clearance (Poly preferred)
• 1 year of experience with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other scripting languages
• 1 year of research experience
• 0–1 year of experience in Reinforcement Learning, Anomaly Detection, or Natural Language Processing

• Strong understanding of probability, statistics, and linear algebra
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

US Salary Range: $99,200 - $137,000 The salary offered will depend on various factors including location, skills, and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes employer-paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, with potential for additional compensation.
