About the Role

The internships are available for durations of twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks, with multiple starting dates throughout the year, providing flexibility to suit your academic commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize scientific methodologies to solve key product and business challenges.
  • Apply insights from academic research to enhance Meta's products.
  • Engage with diverse audiences to discuss complex technical topics.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other teams across Meta to undertake multifaceted projects.
  • Drive innovation across Meta's family of apps through scientific research.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current PhD candidate or holder in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in empirical research and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in programming languages like Python or C++, with a solid grasp of software engineering principles.
  • Experienced in utilizing ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Must have work authorization at the time of hire and maintain it throughout the period of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven impact through grants, fellowships, patents, or first-author publications at leading conferences.
  • Experience in collaborative and cross-functional team settings.
  • Willingness to return to your degree program after the internship ends.
