Job Description Drive innovation in the area of automated disassembly using Robotics, especially using collaborative and industrial robots focusing on disassembly sequence planning and executing, computer vision, sensor integration, simulation, complexity models, control and optimization algorithms, and collaborative human-robot interactions. Co-create with business units in relation to industrial and profitable sustainability initiatives. Contribute to the long-term product portfolio of Bosch, conduct customer interviews, create problem statements, and generate innovative pitching and research proposals. Develop comprehensive solutions from sensor-level integration to system-level simulation and automation solution development. Primarily focus on research and development and integrate the latest techniques for automation. Furthermore, you should be able to articulate research problem statements, design experiments and develop proof of concepts. Build cooperation, assess opportunities, identify “Best-In-Class” within local institutions and universities for potential research/innovation collaboration. Regular alignment with Strategic Research Portfolio Owner, quarterly project update reviews, stakeholder management, and idea pitching via Bosch Innovation Framework. Qualifications Minimum Master or PhD degree in an Engineering field, specialized in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, computer science, electrical and electronics engineering, robotics, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years' working experience as an R&D engineer or academic staff in areas related to automated and autonomous system such as robotic automation, modeling, simulations, control, data analytics, machine learning, digitalization and connectivity, AI applications, robotic manipulation skills (Pick, Place, Move), robotic (data-driven) assembly/disassembly process with (used) components/products of uncertain shapes, sizes and conditions in real-world customer applications, and relevant software engineering experiences. Experience with ROS, Computer Vision, industrial IoT hardware, sensor integration and data collection & analysis, digital twin, and industrial automated system development. Entrepreneur (start-up) and product industrialization experience will be highly valued. You must be passionate about innovation, have entrepreneurial spirit, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
