Meta is on the hunt for a talented Research Scientist to be a part of our innovative Research & Development team. Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced AI infrastructure and hardware acceleration techniques to enhance our intelligent ML systems, further improving the functionality of Meta’s products and user experiences.
• Develop cutting-edge model compression and scalability solutions using strategies such as Numerics, pruning, and distillation.
• Set precise objectives concerning project impact, AI system design, and development efficiency.
• Lead significant initiatives across several teams by performing deep, thorough data-driven analysis and influencing partners to achieve impactful outcomes.
• Define practical use cases, and develop methodologies & benchmarks crucial for evaluating various approaches.
• Apply your deep understanding of how ML infrastructure interacts with other systems to facilitate seamless technology integration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prospective candidates should be in the process of obtaining, or already possess, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. This degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
• Applicant must be in the process of obtaining, or already hold, a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Generative AI, NLP, or a relevant technical discipline. This degree must be completed prior to start date at Meta.
• Specialized experience in one or more areas of machine learning/deep learning such as Model compression, hardware accelerators architecture, GPU architecture, machine learning compilers, ML systems, AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, performance optimizations, or machine learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Strong skills in developing AI-System infrastructure or algorithms using programming languages like C/C++ or Python.
• Eligibility to obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hiring, and maintenance of this authorization throughout the tenure of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge in training/inference of Large scale AI models.
• Background in distributed systems or on-device algorithm development.
• Understanding of recommendation and ranking models.

Compensation and Benefits:

Meta offers a competitive salary package of $117,000 to $173,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity, and additional benefits. Specific pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
