About the Role

As a Research Scientist, you will conduct pioneering research that advances state-of-the-art document understanding. You will work collaboratively with fellow Research Scientists and Product Engineering teams, transforming research outcomes into practical AI solutions. Your expertise will support the engineering team in overcoming various challenges, bridging the gap between research and application. You will manage the research agenda from problem definition to algorithm and model development.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in a relevant field and 2+ years of related research experience or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.
  • Strong algorithmic problem-solving and software development skills (e.g., Python, C/C++).
  • Experience with open-source tools, such as PyTorch.
  • Publications in top-tier conferences or journals, such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NIPS, ICML, ICLR, IJCV, PAMI, etc.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. Specific regions, including the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, have a base pay range of USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
