About the Role

As a Research Scientist at Netflix, you will dive into the exciting challenge of understanding member interactions and satisfaction with our service. The role involves:

• Applying advanced machine learning, causal inference, reinforcement learning, and econometrics.

• Conducting both offline experiments and online A/B testing in production environments.

What We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of research experience with a proven track record in machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Java, and Python, and tools like Spark, TensorFlow, and Keras.
• Exceptional problem-solving and mathematical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in any of the following will be considered a plus:

• Personalization and recommendation systems, deep learning technologies, and large-scale machine learning systems.
• Real-world application of reward models and involvement in cross-functional projects.
• Contributions to open source or research publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
