What You’ll Work On

Your tasks will vary daily but here’s a glimpse of the exciting projects you'll be involved in:

• Building a Network: You’ll identify major players in the restructuring world and establish collaborative data-sharing relationships.
• Database Management: Collaborate with 9fin’s editorial, engineering, sales, and product teams to build monthly/quarterly league tables capturing restructuring mandates in the US.
• Reports Creation: Work with our journalists and analysts to develop data-driven stories.

Requirements

This role will suit you if you have:

• Experience: 2+ years in data journalism, business development, data analysis, or a related area in the credit market, particularly with distressed debt.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python or R) and familiarity with latest database software and tools like web crawling and public-records requests.
• Personability: Ability to build relationships with key market participants and make them comfortable sharing their data.
• Team Player: Comfort working with journalists, analysts, engineers, and product managers to build industry-leading league tables.
• Detail-Oriented: Capability to understand nuances and focus on critical details without losing the bigger picture.
