About the Position

As a Data Strategy Analyst on the Wholesale Credit Analytics and Transformation team, you will collaborate with multiple businesses, risk, and technology teams. Your role will involve running data acquisition, data governance, and data quality models to meet the sophisticated needs of the Wholesale Credit organization. Our central team aims to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in managing wholesale credit risks across Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking by leveraging advanced data and technology.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, you’ll engage in strategic efforts to transform Wholesale Credit’s critical needs, collaborating with business, risk, and technology partners. You'll join a team of data scientists developing risk analytics solutions using advanced analytical frameworks and machine learning algorithms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Data Scientists to understand data needs for analytic solution/model development using internal and external data.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions, conduct analysis, create execution plans, and coordinate data sourcing across multiple business lines and external vendors. Own the data delivery plan in collaboration with Technology partners.
  • Represent Wholesale Credit Analytics data requirements to stakeholders in Legal, Compliance, Data Use forums, and other Corporate functions based on data procurement needs.
  • Analyze structured/unstructured data to provide actionable insights. Present project findings to stakeholders, including data scientists, credit officers, and technology partners.
  • Contribute to improvements in the Data Quality framework and ensure prompt resolution of data defects.
  • Participate in proof of concepts with external data aggregators and product vendors for Credit Risk transformation and modernization use cases.
  • Establish relationships with stakeholders across the organization to develop subject matter contacts in technology, credit, product, and data teams.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data, or a Quantitative discipline (Statistics/Mathematics).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data management, big data, data warehousing, ETL infrastructure within financial services.
  • Ability to run basic SQL queries.
  • Experience in data acquisition and transformation in data warehousing or big data projects.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to deliver results in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at multitasking under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working in a team environment with cross-functional teams globally.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Ability to code using Python.
  • Proficiency in AWS Cloud (EMR, S3, Athena, etc.).
