About the Role

Join our Corporate team at the heart of Vodafone UK, providing centralized support, expertise, and guidance across our UK and Group operations. As part of the Data Strategy CoE team, you'll lead the design and delivery of the overall UK Data Strategy. This is an exciting time to join us as we embark on our data transformation journey, implementing this strategy across Vodafone UK.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include managing processes related to data management risk and supporting the identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of data management risks. You will safeguard sensitive data, ensure compliance with regulations, and act as a third line of defence for Privacy and Cyber Security risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the data management risk framework for Vodafone UK.
• Prepare regular reports and communicate risk findings to senior management.
• Implement a standardized approach for LoBs to conduct self-assessments of their data management practices.
• Collaborate with LOBs to address identified data management risks.
• Maintain a risk register for data management risks.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize data management risks.
• Understand the criticality and classification of data assets.
• Ensure appropriate controls are in place based on data sensitivity.
• Track and monitor data management risks using the established taxonomy.
• Inform data governance strategy and risk mitigation efforts using risk trends and analysis.

Who You Are

You should have:

• Risk Management: Proven experience in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
• Auditing: Expertise in conducting data management risk audits and self-assessment reviews.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
• Data Security: Strong understanding of data security controls, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
• Data Management: Good knowledge of data management principles, best practices, and regulations.
