Key Responsibilities

• Write test plans that communicate goals, metrics, and measurements.
• Develop tests and processes to validate the performance of hardware and software.
• Set up and test robots at the end of the production line.
• Develop automation to test robots at the end of the production line.
• Verify the functionality of hardware and software before shipping to customers.
• Support software feature testing.
• Coordinate the software release testing process.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in software QA testing.
• Experience with core QA methodologies, including the creation of test plans, test cases, authoring documentation, problem isolation techniques, regression testing, ad hoc testing, and systems integration testing.
• Experience testing or debugging robots or equivalent robotic hardware systems.
• Proficiency in bash, Python, or equivalent scripting languages, as well as experience working with ROS/ROS2 or equivalent robot software.
• Highly motivated team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
• Willingness to occasionally travel.
• Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software QA methodologies.
• Experience with software development for testing purposes.
• Proficiency in Linux and C++.
• Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira or Linear.
• Experience deploying automated testing for hardware systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level, with the range reflecting the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in Santa Clara, CA. Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
