Position Title: SAP CXII iXp Intern – Software/ML Engineer

Location: San Ramon, CA, US

Duration: August 2024 - January 2025

What You’ll Do

As an SAP CXII iXp Intern – Software/ML Engineer, you will play a key role in innovative projects centered on delivering AI/ML-based applications. You will work on various projects, building solutions in object detection, visual search, and recommendation systems. Tasks include:

• Evaluating software and machine learning components (LLM), UI Stacks, and ML Libraries.
• Developing ML models for ideation and optimizing current solutions.
• Presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Contributing to data integration initiatives for AI/ML training across different business lines.
• Engaging in performance optimization, MLOps, testing, and evaluation.
• Learning and working on the end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle on Cloud Native platforms.

Educational Requirements

Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.

Position Requirements

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, and Go.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies.
• Strong foundational knowledge in Machine Learning and related technologies.
• Experience with Cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with a propensity to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Strong coding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Cloud Native platforms.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with automation tools for CI/CD and testing.
• Foundational knowledge of Machine Learning platforms.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Understanding of MLOps principles, including model development, deployment, and monitoring. 2-3 years of experience coding in Python and 2 years of experience
