Job Opening: Senior API Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Arkestro is seeking a Senior API Engineer to connect various data instances across our platform. The ideal candidate will manage and develop our knowledge infrastructure, integrating platform-generated data, third-party data, and historical customer data. This role provides opportunities to collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and other teams to deliver cutting-edge data products. Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Rails/Ruby and APIs (REQUIRED)
• 3+ years of experience with SQL (Postgres and/or Snowflake) (REQUIRED)
• 1+ years of experience with Postman APIs
• 0.5+ years of experience with AWS and/or Kubernetes with Istio
• 1+ years of experience with Python (preferred)
• 1+ years of experience with React (preferred)

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SLA, SLO, RPO, RTO, Oncall (PagerDuty)
• API Orchestration, API Design
• API documentation writing using Swagger and/or Postman
• Experience with Datadog or similar

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, develop, and troubleshoot RESTful or SOAP API integrations
• Publish APIs with full lifecycle, versions, and documentation
• Deliver projects using agile methodologies and Statements of Work (SoW)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with 2-3 squads to deliver API platforms and APIs
• Regular communication with cross-functional teams and customers
• Participate in the on-call rotation

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $125,000—$175,000 USD
