About the Position

As a Chapter Section Lead in our Data & Analytics team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the capabilities development of our members, aligning with our overarching chapter vision. You will mentor your team, encouraging them to define their career paths while facilitating opportunities for growth in their chosen directions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop strategic directions with Chapter leadership by integrating new capabilities to stay competitive.
• Ensure alignment of resources with stakeholder needs and priorities through effective demand intake processes.

People Management and Development

• Manage, coach, and develop team members, focusing 50% of your time contributing directly to product teams and internal priorities.
• Allocate talent strategically to projects, ensuring optimal engagement in value-creating activities.

Data Engineering Excellence

• Lead initiatives in Data Engineering to enhance data processing, automation, and management across multiple domains.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration by promoting sharing and re-utilization of data and analytics solutions.

What We’re Looking for

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven leadership skills in Data and Analytics with a strong focus on Data Engineering.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field, complemented by technical leadership experience (e.g., Technical Lead, Data Science Product Owner).
• Demonstration of servant and creative leadership, agile mindset, and ability to build high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate will also exhibit strong business acumen, can manage complexity, and possesses an enterprise mindset essential for breaking down silos and fostering collaborative efforts.

Location and Travel

Primary Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Travel is minimized through virtual collaboration methods.
