The Role: Security Engineer

As of today, our engineering team consists of about 60 members, and we anticipate growing to approximately 100 by the end of 2024. We are searching for a skilled Security Engineer to join our infrastructure team and lead our security efforts.

What You'll Do

• Security Architecture Design: Specialize in security infrastructure for both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Security Automation: Automate security processes using advanced technical strategies.
• Access Control and Identity Management: Implement systems to manage access rights and protocols.
• Encryption and Data Protection: Handle data encryption and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
• Cloud & Endpoint Security: Secure cloud-based environments and manage endpoint security.
• Network Security: Implement and manage network security solutions like firewalls and IDS/IPS/DLP systems.
• Vulnerability Management: Scan and mitigate vulnerabilities within software and hardware assets.
• Application Security: Ensure the security of in-house applications through secure development practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security-focused experience with hands-on secure technical architecture and implementation work.
• In-depth knowledge and implementation experience of security principles, policy enforcement, operating systems, and web application security.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language like Python, Ruby, Istio, NodeJs, or Go.
• Experience with container and supply chain security.
• Familiarity with SOC2 and HIPAA standards.
• Experience with Terraform and enhancing DevSecOps pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with security architecture in GCP, AWS, or Kubernetes.

Nice to Haves

• Fluency in infrastructure-as-code or configuration management languages.
• Experience in designing and implementing security controls.
• Experience with planning and executing security web and infrastructure pen testing.
• Experience with DLP (Data Loss Prevention) and AI/ML data protection risk modeling.
• Expertise with Istio or other Service Mesh technologies.
• Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISA, CCNA, CCNP, or Kubernetes certifications.
