Senior AI Data Engineer - Hybrid Position at Entergy Services, Inc.

Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid (2 days in-office per week)

Preferred Location: The Woodlands, TX (also available in New Orleans, LA, and Little Rock, AR)

Job Summary:

Entergy Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our product delivery teams. You will collaborate closely with solution architects to drive technical designs for AI projects, ensuring seamless delivery of AI products to business customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain accurate solution architecture and technical documentation.
  • Handle complex data sources, formats (structured, semi-structured, unstructured), and stream processing.
  • Address governance and security challenges in data solutions.
  • Develop ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with IT for code migration across Development, QA, and Production environments.
  • Support test automation and validate data integrity.

Minimum Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years as a Data Engineer utilizing standard data management principles.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Experience with ETL processes, Cloud Computing (AWS or Azure), Big Data technologies, Data Warehousing, Data Mining, and Machine Learning.
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL database technologies, Python, and Spark.
  • Skilled in Data Modeling and Airflow.

General Capabilities:

  • Functional Knowledge: Expertise in data-centric disciplines, strong technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Business Expertise: Understanding of best practices and market differentiation.
  • Leadership: Act as a resource for colleagues; may lead small projects.
