About Anti Financial Crime and Compliance Tech (AFCC)
Our AFCC team is integral in safeguarding Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational risks associated with financial crimes. Our comprehensive risk management framework addresses Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Anti-Fraud & Investigations.
Your Profile
As a Business Functional Analyst in the Anti-Fraud Bribery and Corruption delivery Tribe, Strategic Monitoring area, you will be responsible for the high quality and correct granularity of the Product Backlog. You’ll capture requirements, analyze change impacts, and support business through the analytical solution implementation process.
Your role is crucial in developing, deploying, and continuously improving business intelligence via Tableau to provide stakeholders with actionable insights.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and development team to capture, share, and understand functional details at the right granularity: epic/story/task level.
- Define business, process, and data requirements in collaboration with team members and external teams.
- Support the design and conceptualization of new analytical business solution options.
- Ensure Product Backlog Items are estimable, small, and meet the Definition of Ready before entering the Sprint Backlog. Analyze all functional dependencies and identify risks/issues.
- Translate business needs into models, diagrams, presentations, and other documentation to aid the target audience’s understanding of business requirements.
- Create functional/non-functional specification documentation in partnership with engineering teams.
- Support validation of requirements through reviews, walkthroughs, demos, definition of UAT test cases, and support UAT Testing. Collaborate in the release process and closure of SDLC-related controls.
- Review business and downstream consumer-facing documentation (desktop procedures, solution briefs, functional summaries, design documents).
- Work with engineers to resolve functional issues from user acceptance testing, prioritize issues, and address reported bugs/issues/CRs (change requests).
- Develop hypotheses explaining usability, process, functional, and data issues and facilitate team-level communication to create consensus on scope, design, and implementation decisions.
Technical Competence
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, SAP BOBJ, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of technology and database concepts, SQL, ETL, and data analytics.
- Proficiency with business functional analysis methods and tools.
- Experience with business requirements through to system-level functional specifications.
- Experience in IT change projects and varying project/program environments (waterfall, scrum/agile, etc.).
- Knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus.
- Full SDLC experience on large, complex systems preferred but not required.
- Experience in Agile Scrum environments and data analytics projects on cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
