About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist to support and manage all group-wide data governance activities. In this role, you will lead the implementation of our enterprise-wide data governance framework, ensuring data quality and the protection of sensitive information assets.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Governance Analyst, you will:

  • Roll out our enterprise-wide data governance framework, focusing on data quality and protection.
  • Facilitate communication between Data Domains and technology to clearly define, communicate, and understand data-related business requirements.
  • Maintain and mature the inventory of enterprise data maps, including authoritative systems and owners.
  • Define performance and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with data-related policies, standards, and adoption requirements.
  • Partner with and educate diverse teams across technology and business to embed good data governance practices.
  • Support and contribute to security and data compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Practical knowledge of data governance and management lifecycle, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Operational experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining a data governance framework, ideally in a technology or finance environment.
  • Understanding of data-related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends.
  • Proven experience in providing tangible, implementable guidance in data management, data access, metadata management, and data quality.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with expertise in change management, communication, culture change, and performance measurement.
  • Experience in designing and delivering awareness and training programs to support the adoption of key concepts and practices.
