Job Summary Responsible for collaborative, cross-functional work to accumulate data and create models to identify trends using a wide range of data sources. Duties include importing, cleaning, transforming, or manipulating data with the intent of comprehending or deriving conclusions from the data for decision-making. This role requires in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in specific disciplines, with the autonomy to determine personal work priorities. Serves as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Job Description Position Summary: The team is committed to consistent accessibility and absolute transparency for Comcast's data assets to enable informed business decisions driving profitable growth. Oversee the project lifecycle entirety for new data integration, data accuracy and standardization based on a single source of truth. Responsibilities: Collaborate with multiple teams to discern business requirements, analyze sophisticated data, and weave finance, payment & fraud data with other Comcast data assets Convert into the subject matter expert in the data and be able to articulate its benefit to business stakeholders Work with business units to document the requirements for the enterprise base & semantic layer Identify and create a source to target mapping for finance, payment & fraud data attributes. Collaboratively estimate the level of effort and timelines with the management team Maintain comprehensive documentation through the data lifecycle processing to ensure transparent communication and meeting deadline expectations Devise the business rules and logic to harmonize the data Take charge of devising test plans and executing User Acceptance Testing for stated data-dependent projects Collaborate with HQ systems engineering and business units to process data in stage, journal, base and semantic within Teradata and AWS / Hadoop / Horton Works Work with data architecture and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle Support standardization efforts for referential data used for data analysis and project outputs Provide regular status updates to the leadership team Regular and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field is desired Skills required in SQL and Requirement Gathering, Familiarity with AWS / Hadoop / Horton Works, Campaign & Marketing Data Mart Experience, Teradata, and Informatica are additional assets. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience Ability to analyze data and work independently Good organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with various functional areas, including field, Region, Division and Corporate personnel Employees at all levels are expected to: Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job.
