Job Summary

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of complex application enhancements, adhering to scope, timelines, and budgets with minimal defects.
  • Engage in the full system development lifecycle, complying with Highmark SDLC standards.
  • Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and IT members to design innovative technical solutions for complex business needs.
  • Provide technical support, including release implementations and 24x7 on-call support as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all Highmark IT standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in various project roles, such as Developer, Technical Lead, and Project Manager, based on experience.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management, including conducting technical walkthroughs and providing clear and concise documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience

Required:

  • 5 years of experience as a developer
  • Experience with Project Management tools
  • Experience with databases
  • Experience with multiple coding languages

Preferred:

  • Extensive experience with ETL tools, especially Informatica PowerCenter
  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling tools like Tidal
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile delivery model

Skills

  • Problem-solving, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience in Healthcare or Health Insurance Industry
  • Familiarity with technology platforms, application development tools, and business processes
  • Proficiency in software development lifecycle methodologies used by Highmark enterprise

Physical Requirements:

Pay Range: $67,500.00 - $124,800.00, based on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, market conditions, and business considerations.
