Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior BI & Data Engineer to strengthen our data team. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in developing our proprietary game data platform and setting up our analytics framework. Your main objective will be to enhance and facilitate effective data utilization across different divisions. Collaborating closely with our analytics and user experience teams, you will play a key role in elevating our data-driven culture and expanding our research capabilities, ensuring that our decisions are guided by insightful data and contributing to creating memorable experiences for our players.

Daily Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing GCP services such as Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform, and Pub/Sub.
• Develop data models to bolster analytics and reporting frameworks using BigQuery.
• Automate data workflows and orchestrate these processes.
• Maintain high data quality and consistency by enforcing best practices in data governance and monitoring.
• Optimize data processes for enhanced performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Support our analytics team by providing your technical knowledge and assisting them in integrating new tools and standards to streamline data usage.
• Work with cross-functional teams to comprehend data needs and deliver tailor-made solutions that meet these requirements.
• Cooperate with analysts and software developers to refine our telemetry architecture.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering and ETL processes, preferably within the gaming or entertainment sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services.
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data transformation and processing.
• Experience in data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing essential for BI/reporting tools.
• Skilled in implementing CI/CD pipelines for data tasks and job orchestration. Familiarity with GitLab is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of software engineering practices, including version control, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
